As coal-fired electricity continues to be removed from the province’s supply mix, the Ontario government is focused on bringing more clean, green electricity to life.
The recently proclaimed Green Energy Act will provide opportunities for homeowners, farmers, businesses, Aboriginal communities, and community groups throughout Ontario to undertake renewable energy projects of their own.
Increasing the province's renewable energy supply will help clean up our air, further reduce our reliance on fossil fuels and fight climate change.
It will also support a green economy in Ontario, by creating a world-leading market for green power and energy-efficient technologies.
